PURPOSE: To guide users in the initial step of importing documents into the Grooper Attended Client.
AUDIENCE: All Grooper Users
OTHER SYSTEMS IMPACTED: Data is added and/or changes in both Colleague and Laserfiche.
- Open “Grooper Dashboard” Application
- Find it from the Start menu (Windows 7 or Windows 10) by typing in “Grooper Attended Client”

- Open the application

- Select “New Batch…”

- Using the same naming scheme of the files JPEG that you are processing, label the Batch Name
- Name it using the following standards based on what you are working on:
- For Erate – Erate{two digit year}{_batch # if multiple batches in one day} – {Scanner Initials}
- For FERPA - FERPA{two digit year}{_batch # if multiple batches in one day} – {Scanner Initials}
- Select the Batch Process drop down and select “Student Records”

- Select OK
- This will create a folder for the Batch you are currently working on

- Leave the Grooper Attended Client open where you can see it on your screen. You will need it open/ready for an upcoming step (Step 7)
- Open File Explorer
- Open File Explorer using one of the following methods:
- Press the Windows logo key + E.
- Find it from the Start menu (Windows 7 or Windows 10).
- Open the “Grooper Scans” folder from your saved location
- If you chose to set it up as a Quick Access file, it will show on the left

- Open the “2 – JPEG” folder
- Select all of the JPEG images that you saved today

- Right-click and select “Copy”

- Within the Grooper Attended window, right click the folder that shows your current Batch
- Select Paste

- If there are any blank pages, delete them at this time
- Select the Image
- You can select more than one at a time by holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard and clicking on the images
- Right-click and select Delete

- Select “Yes” on the Confirmation Window
- Select “Complete Task”
