Core Fax - Configuration and Sending Faxes

Tags fax

Core Fax is the district’s online, cloud-based faxing solution. Currently, faxes are only sent through the online form but are received via campus/department email boxes as they have been for the past several years.

Signing In

Core Fax is integrated with your Tulsa Tech credentials, so the login process will be familiar if you have used the Hub or any other cloud-based service.

  1. Go to https://login.xmedius.com/tulsatech/sso
  2. Select Sign In and continue through the Tulsa Tech login process.

Setting Your Fax Number

Unless you change your settings, you will send faxes as the default number. This means replies will not reach your department or campus’s shared mailbox.

  1. Select your name in the top-right corner, then User Profile.
  2. Find Outbound Fax Number and select the appropriate fax number.

  1. Adjust any personal information that you would like to make a default for future outbound faxes. The included information is drawn from what is in the system currently, but we do use Company Name for department name.
  2. Choose Update at the bottom.
  3. Return to the main page by selecting Core Fax in the to-left corner.

Sending a Fax

  1. Select + New Fax from the main page.
  2. Enter the recipient’s first and last name, as well as their fax number. Click Add.
  3. Enter a subject and comment.
  4. Drag and drop attachments. This includes whatever documents you are faxing. If you are faxing paperwork, you should scan it first and then attach here.
  5. Select Preview to verify the fax looks the way you want.
  6. Select Submit to send the fax.

Verifying Faxes

You can check the status of outbound faxes by checking Outgoing Queue. When it is gone, it has sent. The log of sent and received faxes are in Outbound and Inbound History respectively.

Receiving Faxes

Faxes from the outside will not go directly to any specific user. Faxes sent to any of the listed numbers go to a department mailbox that only a select few have access to. It is a part of their job to check the fax and forward it on to the appropriate recipient. If you are expecting an urgent fax, you may choose to let them know ahead of time.
