How to Lock and Unlock Access Control Doors

Problem


The employee needs to temporarily lock or unlock the doors in their department or campus.

Environment


The door is setup with Access Control

The employee has CCure Software installed

The employee has the required access to make changes to the door.

 

Resolution

  1. Open “Monitoring Station” should be on your desktop
  2. To create a temporary event, either lock or unlock
    1. Click the Yellow door icon at the top left; Should open a new window
    2. Find the door you want to lock or unlock for an event.
    3. Right-click select “Unlock” or “Lock”
    4. Set the start time; for this example, we want the door to be unlocked for 1 hour between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM for a special evening event.
    5. Change the Priority to 150 (this will override any other events)
    6. Time Zone can be blank
    7. Instructions > note the reason why; Special Event
    8. Hit Save and Close
    9. Closeout the window using the x at the top right
  3. How to cancel the event
    1. Click on Manual Actions at the top left
    2. You should see your event; “Special Event”
    3. Right-click and say Cancel
    4. Click the blue refresh button at the top left, should now be gone
    5. Closeout the window using the x at the top right
  4. How to unlock a door for a brief Moment
    1. Click Yellow door icon at the top left; Should open a new window
    2. Right-click on a locked door and select “Momentary Unlock”
    3. Click the blue refresh at the top left to see the door go unlocked and then back to locked. It is unlocked for about 10 seconds
