How to Assign Clearances to a badge

Problem


The employee needs to give some access to an access control badge

Environment


The door is set up as an access control door

The Employee has the required access to give clearances

Resolution


 

  1. Open Administrator Workstation
  2. Click on the bottom left
  3. On the left side, type in First and Last name
  4. Double click on the staff’s name.
  5. Check the Credentials tab
    1. They must have a badge with a card number assigned, 
    2. If they do have a badge with a card number, click on the card number and make sure their badge isn’t expired, under expiration date; toward the middle. If it’s expired just change the year to 2030. If they have more than one, see if any are not expired.
  6. Click the clearances tab
    1. Click add
    2. You will only have access to clearances you have access to add. Click the check box next to the clearances you wish for them to have. 
  7. Click Okay
  8. NOTE: All access is 24x7, if you wish to have a non-24x7 clearance, please let IT know.
  9. Click Save and Close
