Initial Setup of the Grooper Scans Folders

PURPOSE: Due to how Grooper requires documents to be imported at this time, it is essential that users have a folders setup in order to keep track of what part of the process they are on.

AUDIENCE: All Grooper Users

OTHER SYSTEMS IMPACTED: Data is added and/or changes in both Colleague and Laserfiche.

 

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  1. Open File Explorer
    1. Press the Windows logo key + E
    2. Find it from the Start menu (Windows 7 or Windows 10)
  2. In a place of your preference (example used is “Desktop”), create a NEW folder as your default folder you scan all Grooper Documents into
    1. Click the folder icon in the task bar
      1. For Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and tap Search. If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and click Search. Type File Explorer in the search box, and then tap or click File Explorer
    2. Navigate to where you want to create the new folder, and click New Folder
  3. Type the name of your folder “Grooper Scans” and press Enter.
    1. For easy access in the future, pin the folder to Quick access
      1. Right-click (or press and hold) the folder
      2. Select Pin to Quick access
  4. Within the “Grooper Scans” folder, create two additional folders labeled:
    1. 1 – PDF
    2. 2 – JPEG
