PURPOSE: Due to how Grooper requires documents to be imported at this time, it is essential that users have a folders setup in order to keep track of what part of the process they are on.
AUDIENCE: All Grooper Users
OTHER SYSTEMS IMPACTED: Data is added and/or changes in both Colleague and Laserfiche.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Open File Explorer
- Press the Windows logo key + E
- Find it from the Start menu (Windows 7 or Windows 10)
- In a place of your preference (example used is “Desktop”), create a NEW folder as your default folder you scan all Grooper Documents into
- Click the folder icon in the task bar
- For Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and tap Search. If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and click Search. Type File Explorer in the search box, and then tap or click File Explorer
- Navigate to where you want to create the new folder, and click New Folder

- Type the name of your folder “Grooper Scans” and press Enter.
- For easy access in the future, pin the folder to Quick access
- Right-click (or press and hold) the folder
- Select Pin to Quick access

- Within the “Grooper Scans” folder, create two additional folders labeled:
- 1 – PDF
- 2 – JPEG
