Purpose
Add or edit textbook information for a program.
Audience
Coursedog users eligible to submit a program proposal.
Impacted Systems
Coursedog and full-time program information on external website.
Instructions
To submit a proposal click "+ NEW PROPOSAL" from the Home page.
The New Proposal dialog box will appear.
Click the down arrow on the What would you like to Propose drop down list to view form options.
Select Changes(s) to General Program Information.
The New Proposal dialog box will expand.
Select an Effective Start Term and a Program.
ClIck GO TO FORM→
The proposal form will open.
Enter a Business Case for the proposal, be as descriptive as possible about the changes you are proposing so that reviewers understand all the changes.
To go directly to the Textbook card, click Textbook under Contents.
IMPORTANT: Review all textbook(s) listed to determine if a textbook needs to be added, edited, or deleted.
To add a textbook:
Go to the last textbook listed, click YES in the Do you need to list additional textbooks? field.
A new set of textbook fields will display.
IMPORTANT: Enter as much information as possible as some of this data is displayed under full-time programs on the external website.
To edit a textbook:
Add or edit the text associated with appropriate textbook.
To delete a textbook:
Find the book that needs to be deleted and delete all the information for that book.
Note: The proposal will display the blank field, but when program information is reviewed the blank fields will not display. Reference attached documents to this article for an example.
Best Practices:
Do not enter edition or author information in the Textbook Title field.
Enter the edition (if applicable) in the Edition field as an ordinal number. Example: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 31st
Enter textbook cost with a decimal. Example: 12.95
