Attended Client: Process Files - Add the JPEG Image(s)

PURPOSE: To guide users in the initial step of importing documents into the Grooper Attended Client.

AUDIENCE: All Grooper Users

OTHER SYSTEMS IMPACTED: Data is added and/or changes in both Colleague and Laserfiche.

 

  1. Open “Grooper Dashboard” Application
    • Find it from the Start menu (Windows 7 or Windows 10) by typing in “Grooper Attended Client”

  1. Open the application

     
  2. Select “New Batch…”

     
  3. Using the same naming scheme of the files JPEG that you are processing, label the Batch Name
    • Name it using the following standards based on what you are working on:
      • For Erate – Erate{two digit year}{_batch # if multiple batches in one day} – {Scanner Initials}
      • For FERPA - FERPA{two digit year}{_batch # if multiple batches in one day} – {Scanner Initials}
         
  4. Select the Batch Process drop down and select “Student Records”

     
  5. Select OK
    • This will create a folder for the Batch you are currently working on

       
  6. Leave the Grooper Attended Client open where you can see it on your screen. You will need it open/ready for an upcoming step (Step 7)
  7. Open File Explorer
    • Open File Explorer using one of the following methods:
    • Press the Windows logo key + E.
    • Find it from the Start menu (Windows 7 or Windows 10).
  8. Open the “Grooper Scans” folder from your saved location
    • If you chose to set it up as a Quick Access file, it will show on the left

       
  9. Open the “2 – JPEG” folder
  10. Select all of the JPEG images that you saved today

     
  11. Right-click and select “Copy”

     
  12. Within the Grooper Attended window, right click the folder that shows your current Batch
  13. Select Paste

     
  14. If there are any blank pages, delete them at this time
    • Select the Image
      • You can select more than one at a time by holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard and clicking on the images
  15. Right-click and select Delete

     
  16. Select “Yes” on the Confirmation Window
  17. Select “Complete Task”

Proceed to the Knowledge Based Article Labeled "Grooper - Data Review – Process JPEG Images for Storage"
