Laserfiche - Repository: How to Email a Single File

Email a File from the Laserfiche Repository

  1. Go to the Laserfiche Repository. Go to lf.tulsatech.edu/laserfiche. Laserfiche sign-in page

  6. Open the document. Click the file to open it. Document list showing a file selected to open
  7. Confirm the file opens in a new tab. Depending on your security level, you may be able to download or email the file directly from the repository. Document opened in a new tab with repository toolbar options
  8. Click the Share icon. Share icon in the Laserfiche toolbar
  9. Verify settings and click Send.
    • Send as Files
    • Format PDF
    • Use email client to manually send the message is selected
    • Click Send

  10. Select a reason, add a comment, then click OK.
    • Select a reason from the dropdown
    • In Comment, add who requested the document
      • If a company requested it, include the company name and the contact name you are emailing
    • Click OK

  11. Open the generated Outlook item (.msg). Open your Downloads folder and open the generated Outlook Item (.msg) file. Downloads folder showing the generated Outlook .msg file
  12. Send the email from Outlook.
    • The subject is automatically labeled "Laserfiche Document: File Name"
    • The file is attached as a zipped file
    • Update the email body content as needed before sending
